Why are people asking for pet medical advice here?

January 26, 2011 - 9:50 am 7 Comments

The first thing to do when you’re pets vomiting/ peeing all over/ puking/ or eatten something bad etc is to CALL THE VET! Quit wasting time!

I know, it’s driving me nuts!! I can understand asking about little things, but when they’re asking for advice and they themselves think their pet might be dying, I seriously want to reach through my computer and choke them. I just answered a question last night where a girl asked "Is she dying or just ill and can be cured?" Then listed some of the symptoms. What difference does it make if she’s dying or has something that’s curable?! Get the poor thing to a vet NOW! Even if the poor animal was dying, the least she could do is get it to a vet to make it more comfortable or end it’s life in a quicker way so the pet didn’t have to suffer a long, painful death. I wanted to scream, I was so upset by the question. It’s just so irritating that there’s so few people left in this world with some common sense. Do people really need to be told when to get their pet to a vet? If you think it’s dying, get it to a vet! Why must people come on here and have twenty people tell them to take it to a vet. Don’t ask, just do it!! The more time they spend surfing the net asking questions, the less chance their pet has at getting a treatment that might possibly cure it. It drives me nuts and I feel so bad for the animals because you can only imagine what kind of pain they must be feeling. Something really needs to change, because I am so sick of those questions. But, as irritating as those questions are, I do at least try to tell the person what I think might be wrong with their pet and I try to be as nice as possible. But still, what good will a correct internet diagnosis do? We can tell people what their pets might have, and we might get it right, but we can’t treat them. Aye, I just want to scream at those people and slap ‘em upside the head…

I can not keep my apartment organized, I flt from one project to the next, I can not see any goal to its completion, my mind is constantly wondering, i have not routine with ANYTHING. Thanks for your advice.

Many with ADD respond well to caffeine.
See if drinking coffee correlates with doing better.

Of course, there are prescription meds via your doctor.

Best wishes.

Where can I find free medical advice by symptoms?

About one month ago, I fell in my backyard and hit the back of my head. Since then, I feel dizzy when I hold my head up for too long, begin sweating in the evening and tire easily. I have had an MRI and EEG. What could possibly be wrong?

What are the illness characteristics in relation to adherence to medical advice?

January 3, 2011 - 10:46 pm 1 Comment

I have to answer this question for a homework assignment. But do not understand the question. If someone could please rephrase it. Tell me an answer or give an example, or all of the above. It doesn’t matter if you tell me the whole answer, because I am going to rephrase it anyway. But please help me out, because I have no clue what this means!
Thanks!

basically, do you get better when you follow the doctor’s orders.

who to seek medical advice with first regarding loss of libido in men?

January 1, 2011 - 1:59 am 2 Comments

would you go to a urologist, an andrologist, or even a psychiatrist if you didn’t know what the cause of the loss of libido might be. could be clinical, but psychological might also be an issue. who to go to first to find out what to do?

He could try viagra but I will tell ya what, that stuff sucks. The side effects are terrible. Has he ever tried a sexual enhancer? I was in his situation, like I said, viagra was tried but it wasn’t for me considering the side effects overwhelm the pleasures of it. I found this natural herbal enhancer and figured what the heck, if it’s natural it must be great and plus it said no side effects. I tried it and after about two days of taking it I was just horny like a mad man. All the time, I have erections that want to stand straight up and the orgasms are to die for. The stuff was called vigrx plus and I saved on it at the time at hughs-reviews.com You should tell him to check it out. I love the fact it’s made from a researched blend of herbs that seem to do the trick for me atleast.

Good luck and I hope this helps.

Would you take advice about medical problems from anyone other than a doctor?

December 28, 2010 - 2:34 pm 11 Comments

I’ve noticed ppl ask specific advice for medical issues when they haven’t consulted a doctor. I find this peculiar. I’m not talking about what to do for symptoms. Sometimes, ppl seem to want a diagnosis. Would you take this advice knowing that ppl may not be educated enough to answer? Why?

It would depend on the problem I had wrong, how serious it was if I would post it here or not. Sometimes people just want reassurance to find what others think from people that went through something similiar they want to mentally feel better I think. I’m an Ask-The-Expert on lymphedema and am very familiar with circulatory problems and also a disabled due to cancer, pharmacy asst so I can answer alot of questions based on my experience tho I’m not a doctor, I always tell people to go to the dr if it’s something that seems like they need medical attention.

I think alot of people are scared of going to the dr and they just want to know what might be wrong before they go, like a reassurance thing. Like the woman who asked if a breast lump could be cancer, she’s scared she found it and wants to hear of things it could be other than cancer but the bottom line is she needs to see the doctor to be sure but I think by posting her question she feels better because some will say it’s a cyst, some hormonal, some benign tumor, and then others breast cancer so she finds out some things it could be to ease her mind before she goes.

the bottom line is tho, we don’t know the people who answer, but the person asking is taking a risk if they rely just on answers and don’t go to the doctor.
