Pagans, Wiccans, natural healing enthusiasts: not an emergency or anything, but can you help me out?

Got some herniated disks, and associated nerve pain. I was wondering if you folks had any good home remedies to give some relief. I’ve tried a bunch, but figured I’d see if ya’ll got anything new for me. Muscle relaxers, anti-inflamatories, and steroids all suck. lol
I’m just trying to delay fusion surgery as long as possible. Haven’t found a chiropractor who will touch me once they see the MRI. Just ain’t ready for steel rods yet.

My best advice to you is to speak with a qualified physician or two and then do as they advise.

Traditional "witchcraft" remedies, at least in my experience, are much better at preventing illness in the first place or dealing with low-level chronic conditions than they are at handling acute pain and dysfunction. For the latter types of conditions, modern medicine has a much better track record.

DMSO has anyone heard of the natural healing for cancer by putting it in the I_V of a person of cancer?

January 18, 2011 - 11:27 pm 2 Comments

I’m trying to find all info pertaining to the natural healing of DMSO of any or all cancer’s to a person that has it. any advice on certain books, papers, articles anything. thanks,

Dimethyl sulfoxide is nothing more than a solvent. But you have to be careful with it because it dissolves both polar and non-polar solvents, which has the effect of being able to transport poisons and other materials through the skin. There are only two types of solvents, polar and non-polar. Polar is things like water, alcohol. Non-polar is things like gasoline or oil. Everything dissolves in either one or the other. But things like soap and DMSO dissolve both, which is why soap causes the oils on your hand to dissolve in the water when you wash your hands. DMSO has no medical use in the treatment of cancer but a doctor might use it for some other reason. I’d only do what the doctor said in this case.

does natural eye healing method actually work ( rolling eyeballs in a circular rotation) or should i just get?

laser eye surgery since my eye sight is getting pretty bad?

Absolutely get checked by an Optometrist (possibly an MD depending on the severity and onset) to rule out anything sinister. Once you’ve a clean bill of health, you may want to consider visiting a well qualified practitioner of Chinese medicine. Visual disturbances such as "floaters", night blindness and general decline are often related to a Liver disharmony and most can be easily and effectively treated using acupuncture and herbal medicine.

what can be done or taken to speed up the bodys natural healing process?

January 11, 2011 - 7:52 am 2 Comments

Taking herbs or other natural medicines are a great way to assist the bodys natural healing process. The natural healing process works on a spiritual, emotional, mental, physical, environmental, and social aspect so trying to ensure all these aspects of life are in balance is also a good start. Meditation, eating good food, exercise, yoga, taichi, having a good laugh and doing things you enjoy all support the healing power. Also like was previously mentioned elimination is also really important. Make sure your bowel movements are regular and drink lots of water.

Is there any natural way of healing a yeast infection?

January 7, 2011 - 12:27 pm 3 Comments

Do not have enough money at the time to go out and buy cream and such.

You can use the yogurt method… it worked for me.
It’s a bit old-fashioned, but still worth a try, and very soothing. It’s best to try an approach from both ends: eat the yogurt, as well as inserting it. It helps restore your pH and supports the naturally present bacteria that fight off the yeast infection.

Be sure to get natural yogurt with no flavouring or additives and especially no sugar.
Dip a tampon into it and insert, wear a pad in case it leaks. Keep it in for an hour at a time; repeat up to four times a day.

Another good option is a sit bath (Americans also call that a ‘Sitz bath’, everything gets better if you use a few German words every now and then!), which is a shallow bath, with one or two cups of cider apple vinegar mixed into the water. Draw your knees up to your chest and sit in the water for a while.

January 1, 2011 - 1:59 am 1 Comment

My 1 year old daughter has Keratosis Pilaris on her face, arms and thighs. I really would rather not rub chemicals and harsh ointments on her skin. I especially would like to avoid products with a heavy mineral oil base. Does anyone know of a natural gentle product for treating KP? Thanks so much!
