How much effective is Homeopathy in rabies treatment?
September 1, 2010 - 12:55 pm
I am taking treatment for rabies (post-bite) in homeopathy. Is it effective?
Please tell me you’re joking! Rabies is a very serious disease when untreated. Without speedy medical treatment it is almost universally fatal.
Homeopathy is known to be effective for *any* condition and it’s a waste of your money. It’s basically quack medicine and a widespread scam.

There is not homepathic treatment for rabies. It’s a virus and can kill you. See a doctor for treatment immediately.

That cannot save your life if you have rabies! I hope it just happened, so that you can get to the Dr’s office and get your rabies shots. Seriously, this will kill you if you don’t do it.

I am not sure whether you are suggesting that you are using homeopathy for the post-exposure or that you are doing it in combination with the post-exposure vaccination. Once you have been exposed to rabies, you must get the post-exposure vaccination ASAP. The closer the bite is to the brain, the more urgent it is. There is only one proven case of a human surviving rabies after the symptoms have started to develop. In that case, an artificial coma was induced. This technique has been tried in other symptomatic individuals with no success. Bottom line: Homeopathy alone as post-exposure treatment will not prevent rabies or prevent death.

I am concerned that so many people who clearly know little about homeopathy have seen fit to answer your question in such a negative way. There are good homeopathic remedies used in places like Eastern Europe, where rabies is endemic, and homeopathy is quite strong.
But you need for so a qualified, registered homeopath. Quickly.
